So finally caught up with Sakomoto Days. Easily the best action manga in WSJ and both it and Akane-Banshi are by far the best series in the magazine.

Man the matchups is getting intense. Both Mafuyu and Toramaru are safe, which is good. But Toramaru still has the bomb inside of her. The fight between Gaku and Nagumo was amazing. And in the most Nagumo fashion he faked his death to get close to Uzuki. Shin fighting with Shishiba is going to be interesting. Hopefully Shin can impress. And they are really setting up for Taro, Nagumo and Uzuki's split personality of Rion meeting up together.

Sakomoto Days Chapter 155



Taro has confidence in Shin. Thank god Shin didn't tell him he can't ESP cause of the bomb (Considering how hectic everything is I can't blame him.) Well, he's giving Shishiba a greater respect for Osargai, but unfortunately Shin and his crew spooked her a little bit too much.

I was wondering how long it would take for Amane and Shishiba to meet up again. Would be an awesome moment for Amane to step up.

Akane-Banshi Chapter 98

I love in this series where it shows you Akane's improvement. I just love the use of inside jokes. It adds a little flavor that those she associates with Rakugo can be like oh yea I remember that. At the same time, keep it doesn't detract from the purpose of the story. It gives her a sense of uniqueness with her performances.

Beyond excited how she can make this potentially her best performance yet.

Seeing Natsu cheer Taki is so nice. And man, that last page. Haryu knows how important this day is for him. You can easily see how nervous and stressed out he is.

Catching up with the manga after being behind, man it hasn't even let up. Sensei created an arc where the idea is so unique to it. It feels refreshing as it is very different from the arcs we had so far. But it maintains the Dandadan experience. And I love it

Recently started and caught up with "I want to End this Love Game." At the surface level the premise seems like it is Kaguya-Sama with the leads being childhood friends, which the banter is comedy driven. But it is less like that and closer to ones like The Dangers in My Heart, Karou Hana, A Sign of Affection and Polar Opposites. Writing and characterizations are fantastic. Most of the drama that occurs is low-mid level stuff. Nothing that feels overbearing and gets resolved fairly quickly.

What an amazing chapter for chapter 100. Akane has always been very fundamental. But the cohesion of stories together, man this was just awesome. The writing of this series is so good, and it is such a joy to read . Curious how she will wrap it up next chapter.

Damn psycho puts restrictions on himself to make killing not boring. Man a fight between him and Hyo would have been amazing.

Normally in a test of strength Shin feels outmatched. Though if he can read Haruma's moves he would have a chance. But last we have seen he can't use ESP at the moment. So I wonder how this will go.

Blue Box Chapter 139

Great chapter, really highlighting Taki's work ethic. We have always known how Natsu has inspired Taki and the same can be applied to vice versa. But being the first one in the gym and one of the last to leave is something that is difficult to maintain. Not only that, taking the extra step to even get lessons from Hyoudou.

I love that Haryuu sees the giant amount of improvement from Taki. But Haryu will make this a match that Taki will have to earn the W.

Gokurakugai Chapter 15

Man first chapter since December and this was a great one

Man Alma stepping in from Ms. Tao, who was still shaken from last chapter. Love Alma's faith in Ms. Tao wasn't in doubt, but man imagine your dead brother coming back to say he is happy he died. And he has a place with a new family that he is truly happy with . Adding to that they plan to kill her and have her join the family. It seems like after they die, they seem to maybe invest a 2nd personality into them to break them mentally. So we saw the real Jin that Ms. Tao wanted to protect, but couldn't. But at this point he is broken so at this point this new split personality is basically in charge.

Man whoever is the leader in this is bad news. This series is great but the inconsistent monthly release ain't doing it any favors. Well hopefully it gets a more consistent schedule going forward.

Shangri-La Frontier Volume 10

Man the whole fight was amazing

The strat of Sunraku aggroing Lycagon while Rei got the conditions for her special move was a solid start. But if Akane and Emul weren't there, things wouldn't go those two's way. I really like what the game did with Akane they took a character that Sunraku met when he was getting prepped to fight Wethermond in Berserk Online. A sole interaction that Sunraku didn't think much of, but for Akane it turned Sunraku into her idol. She did wonderful still able to provide substitutes for Rei.

Suzaku was a cool play from Sunraku. He was able to hold off the clouds from keeping Lycagon's clones from reappearing and was able to give Rei enough time to cast her move. Not to mention Emul really coming into clutch able to detect that this fake Lycagon was considered a ghost creature. It even makes more sense that perhaps this isn't the real Lycagon, but that could still be the case for the real one.

Man Sunraku really put his life on the line to give Rei that final push, but once again Akane and the bunnies being around came in clutch saving Sunraku since he had 1 hp. Holy god-damn Rei final pulls off the big blow against Lycagon and man you can see the force behind it. A move that seems impractical was fully shown if the circumstance allows for it this is a move many could not be surprised.

Though to Sunraku's expense where this was just the next step in the rewatch against Lycagon. But now he gets different effects from the mark, so this is interesting how it affects him going forward. Also cool that Akane gets to join in on the bonus scenario too. With that big fight done it's off to meet Rust. But before that we see the deal of Arcaium. Basically once you reach level 99 you get depending on your play style a change in your stats. Curious how it affects Sunraku going forward.

All my favorite Webtoons are hitting season-ending hiatuses. I've got the Hardcore Leveling Warrior sequel and Return of the Blossoming Blade's new season lined up, but I need a couple more joints to start up.

Finally got to start Ranger Reject. Also the premise is dope. The heroes beat the villains, but over time the heroes are toying with the monsters as fuel to entertainment for the masses. Using their ability not to die against them and knowing they never have a chance to beat the Dragon Keepers. How one monster can start this is interesting. Red in particular you see he is not the noble guy his fans think he is.

Curious plan to attack in the inside. The real interesting thing is that each Dragon Keeper has a divine artifact which holds immense power. So these can make a big difference. Two allies that D finds is Yumeko Suzukri and Hibiki sakurama. Yumeko has an evil streak that is very interesting. Collecting the artifacts is her goal, but she comes off as ally you have to be nervous to being around her. Hibiki on the other hand wants to reform the organization, but you really question if he can.

While getting the Red's artifact, he ran into D and staged a fight in the most in a sickening manner and toying with him. No surprise he got his ass kicked, but it seems like Yumeko got the artifact before Red could realize it. Now things become interesting. I am curious if D is truly dead dead tho?

Ranger Reject Volume 2

So Hibiki comes to D's rescue. And he does have a great point that D talks about taking down the Dragon Keepers, but is struggling to even make a dent in the organization. The plan for D to impersonate him and infiltrate is an interesting plan, but you wonder why he is so admiant. One thing that throws me off is that, Sesera was trying to keep Hibiki to keep going to where god is. She clearly cares about her brother, but did she rat her parents and the others? At least we get the sense that Hibiki is serious about his ideal to fix the organization.

I do like as D is infiltrating the organization, he really starts to realize how hard taking down the Dragon Keepers is. He ends up running into Sesera and what will he think of her being a Dragon Keeper. On one hand he is Hibiki's sister, but you have to consider his goal. Also she suddenly has to use a wheelchair, could that be the artafacts power? Then D runs into a monster in Hibiki's room. There is a lot that D needs to really overlay the situation before moving forward.

Ranger Reject Volume 3

So that monster in hiding considers them a true monster. Makes sense given that they kept fighting even after their bosses were killed. But this hidden monster is the sole survivor of those that left. She has taken a liking to Hibiki, most likely since he figured out the truth. Regarding Seresa her proposition for Hibiki does make sense since she has power in her role as the Pink keeper. But clearly this isn't something Hibiki would want. She knows about his ambitions and respects it, but gives the facts of the possibility of them fighting. It raises the point previously Hibiki wants to save his sister. Perhaps it has to do with the path she is on.

So the test for the colorless has them paired off to get the key from the 2nd command of each colored squad. Given that the difference in strength between them and actual monsters and the fact they only have one key, leads it to believe they aren't seeking to pass anyone unless they earn. The concerning thing of their only being one key.

Shion is someone who his whole motivation is revenge. The twist here is that his brother was killed 4 years ago and the bosses were supposedly killed 13 years ago. There is definitely a lot of information missing from D. Lord Petrola who was this supposed God in Hibiki's flashback saved the rebellious monster. But could this imply that Lord Petrola is another one imitating a human?

Also new weekly Jump series, I tried yesterday. Basically seems like a Blind Girl coming of age story through music. Decent first chapter. Art isn't much to talk about, but this one is likely a sad one
