Come to think about it, Ye's chance of breaking into the high fashion world got drastically decreased when he married Kim K.
Ye still has that edgy image but Kim K is like the epitome of trashy ugly American to these people's eyes.
I still think Ye needs to just do his own shyt.
I work in the industry and there's a lot of people who started high fashion lines without much money or past experience.
I keep bring up Rag & Bone because I'm close with a few people who work there and these guys were illegal immigrants when they first started their biz.
They sold a total of 50 jeans their first season and worked out of their apartments for 4 years.
Now they have a full men's and women's lines and do shows in NY and London fashion weeks.
Ye clearly has the resources to do it.

What is stopping Kanye from taking all his fashion pieces and opening a store in Chicago for people to buy. Why does a cac need to cosign his shyt and prop up his ideas in order for him to succeed. Hes trying to take a shortcut to success by trying to be push his designs on the established so they see some form of genius in hiim and then assist him in propping up his line. People defending Kanye don't realize that they aren't stopping him from starting up his own high end fashion line or store . He just wants the accolades of the famous fashion houses ... How about he just make his own line and let talent speak for him . If his line turns out that nice the people can judge that , it's like rap if he's nice he'll get some cosigns and bust through the ceiling( even if he doesn't they aren't obligated too ) but I'm sure if his work is as good as he thinks he is he'll get to Paris

There are examples of people who were in less resourceful situations successfully created high fashion lines.

Cuz I think Kanye secretly knows that being a good designer and selling clothes to regular folks isn't that important. If he's adopted by the fashion elite he can start doing ignorant Kanye "artist" shyt like smearing chocolate stains on a blue turtleneck and they'll call it brilliant and say it's the new look for the winter...that's what he wants. If he does it on his own people will call out his bullshyt.
