Ye isnt trying to be an ECKO, Sean John ect. ie Brands that came and went. He is trying to be a Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford type. A Versace or Armani kind of brand.

Those guys started out at major fashion houses before doing coming out with their own brands. And those brands will be popular for at least the next hundred years.

Ye is going about it wrong. He needs to take the attention off himself and let his work "be Kanye".

Kanye is worth $100M. I know people who were working 9 to 5s who opened up their own successful high end clothing lines. The only reason Kanye "needs" to go through these fashion houses is because he wants that validation

True. Even if he has a fly ass line, is it going to be on the runways of Paris and Milan. That is where he wants the acceptance. Dude is obsessed with European fashion. He needs to focus on the US, get some talented designers and focus on trying to get his line in Macy's and high end boutiques here, then work his way to the big dogs in Europe. If they don't want him, he should just keep it movin.

Yeezy's failures in fashion have nothing to do with corporate racism. nikkas like you think if a black man doesn't make it it's because of racism, when really, it might just be because his shyt is not as hot as he thinks it is.

And in any case, Kanye doesn't need corporate America to do his fashion thing... he just WANTS to go that route to get the validation he needs.

US is pretty weak fashion wise. France/Italy are the epicenter. But Yeazle and his devotees need to be honest/clear on what he wants. There is nothing stopping him from doing a high fashion line on his own... anyone can and HAS done that. Kanye wants his designs on Parisian runways getting standing ovations, and he feels like all he has to do to get that is show up. He needs to wake the fukk up and decide what he really wants.

I'm not trying to psychoanalyze you at all. That's just how your posts are coming across. It sounds defeatist. So what if corporate America is racist. Not exactly ground breaking development there. They want good returns on their investment and a sustainable business plan. Kanye probably hasn't even reached out to investors, let alone put together some kind of business plan for his own business, because he wants to be Versace's house nikka instead of having full creative and financial control
