yeah...read the paper today and the headline was "Marco goes nowhere, Netflix's new medieval series is stereotypical, poorly acted and, worst of all inert"

Finished it this morning. It's a really good show. A bit slow but there's a lot of interesting characters here. Marco is not one of them.

just off the strength of the casting. Lot of minorities getting shine.
The story isn't as compelling as some of the top tier shows, but top notch visuals (sets, costumes, cinematography) and some good characters (hundred eyes, kublai, jidao) have kept me on board.

I thought it was hilarious how for a second it looked like Marco Polo had "acquired" enough Kung Fu to fight the Chancellor. Then 10 seconds later he was
.The painting in the last shot was way over the top silly. Up until the very end I didn't see much to compare to Game of Thrones, but the last scene made that character look like a parody of Littlefinger.
This show definitely doesn't deserve to be at 22% on Rotten Tomatoes. I don't understand why a critic would prefer "The Walking Dead" to "Marco Polo".
