did Randy Foye play defense though? and Smart might be the most physically imposing player pg in the league day 1 at his size

but he lacks explosiveness to get to the rim and an outside jumper. there's only so many post-ups you can run for your pg that can't shoot or penetrate. he'll be a good defender though.

Do is a 6'3 230 combo guard who gets to the line and slashes to the paint and has good defensive skills...He's also an intense dude who seems as if he wants to be better...Dude will end up being either a good starter or a good backup...Either way he'll be worth the pick....the risk of him being an all out flop is less than it is Exum not even being productive.

What? Smart gets to to the rim with ease. You really don't know what you're talking about.

I watched him play alot. He's not in the Russell Westbrook, D-Rose, Eric Bledsoe class of explosiveness. Plus I think he has small hands because he showed alot of difficulty finishing in the lane over length. He most gets to the rim using his body which is very strong. But his most effective offense came from the post. He's a decent pick n roll player, so he might become a masetro using that to get to the rim, but I wouldn't take that gamble.

Then we have his shooting which is simply HORRID. It doesn't help that he also has among the worst decision-making in this class when it comes to shot selection. I'm not saying he can't be good. I'm just saying with so many other good prospects on the board (Vonleh, Gordon, LaVine, etc.), I would be very hesitant taking Smart at 5-8.

disagree. Exum has the critical skill of being able to beat his man one on one to get into the paint at will. that will translate at the next level. I don't know how much you watched Smart but he's not really a slasher. he's more of a power guard. most of his penetration into the paint came off pick n rolls and post-ups. he's not in the Russell Westbrook/D-Rose class of being able to beat dudes off the dribble into the paint. Exum has that ability. Thats why I think his bust potential is very low. If you can get into the paint in the NBA, you'll have a productive NBA career.

Sixers are going to be sitting pretty at #3 and #10. If somehow Smart were to drop to 10 or if the Sixers moved up a few spots to grab their target, they'll be cooking.
