marino was a great QB and a beast...

but how many of those pretty passes came in the playoffs ? :mjpls:

You mean the part of the season where the deficiencies of his one trick pony teams unravelled while stacked teams like my 49ers held up better?

I know where you're going. Nope...Joe wasn't better

the part of the season where his quarterbacking performance would plummet according to his own standards

of course joe was better

being the best quarterback isnt throwing cannonballs with the best spirals with the best spin or any other bullshyt.

its performing and making right decisions under pressure. Im sorry but marino had way too many pedestrian ass games in the playoffs to be the GOAT

those buffalo defenses werent bad but they were far from best. at least joe would lose to the giants, a defensive powerhouse with future hall of fame coaches. joes only two downright bad game in the offs was against the vikings (imo one of his worst games ever) and the infamous giants game where he got ktfo-d cold

again, sorry but you cant be the goat offensive player at your position if you were way below standards in the playoffs and did badly against the good defenses. theres some exceptions to RBs when your team is down 3 scores or more.

marino couldnt take over in his biggest game and routinely lost to ultimate losers in buffalo. sure, defenses win out against good offenses, but if you're a GOAT you have to have something to show that you actually held your own.

marino had a total of 2 games past the wc round in which he played like a GOAT

sorry its a total non-contest. marino was perhaps the most physically talented and precise qb on long passes. that doesnt make him the best qb ever

You typed all that and said nothing about the 49ers being a stacked team compared to the Fish teams Marino played on.

You refuse to give that part it's proper digestion, treating it like a laxative.

I've seen Joe lose many a playoff game...I'm old enough to be the only fool at my lil cousins Yoruba naming ceremony rooting for him against the Giants when Jim Burt knocked him out cold. Difference is, the 49ers were good enough an organization to get back up and put him in that position again. Dan never had that chance...and chances are I'd he was in that same position, he'd perform better than Joe.

Denigrate the Bills to big up Joe? That's weak as hell.

Boy, the best. You put him on the 9ers or Steelers, and he'd be a multiple champ too.Him and Warren Moon threw the prettiest balls. But Marino's release :damn:

:beli: He was never as good as montana. Marino was an interception machine come playoff time

You're making shyt up now.

Dude threw 24 ints for his career in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Joe Montana can throw 3 ints in the same game Dwight Clark makes "The Catch" and win because the 49ers were a stacked squad.

Joe threw 3 TDs and 3ints in another game and the Niners won. Joe threw 1 td and 2 ints in a game and the Niners won.

The NINERS teams Joe played on were simply better.

Dan Marino and Peyton Manning are the two best to ever play the Quarterback Position that I've seen with my own eyes.

N1gga, look at how covered his WRs are for the most part. His WRs were overrated becuz he made them look better than they are. Give him the WC offense and a defense n1gga:whew:
