Word??????

Can the UM campus handle a stadium though?

Always wondered

They're going to build it on a school close to the campus. The booster is going to build the school somewhere. It's madness.

The source says that Ruiz is currently exploring other locations to build a new Coral Gables High School before starting on the stadium project.

The current Coral Gables High School location is on a 24.6 acre lot that is on the corner of Bird Road and Le Jeune Rd. It is less than two miles away from the University of Miami campus. A 50,000 seat stadium typically requires 13 acres of land.

Source: The John Ruiz family is ready to launch ambitious plan to build UM a football stadium in Coral Gables

made 20 Billion and promised to build a stadium to make more money..........:francis: He'll get a cut of all the action.

Think buddy is a money launderer...

They'll squeeze that bytch in there somewhere. These donors are tired of hearing the same stale "you share a stadium with the Dolphins" and "students have to travel an hour north to get to games" and "what recruits want to play in front of 20,000 people" jokes and are putting their money where their mouth is.

Even though this has been a bad look for the admin I'm glad the BOT let their nuts hang so the "Miami doesn't have money" myth can die:aicmon:

They've always had money. Them millionaires just didn't give af about football (sports in general) until them Cubans joined the board.
