even though it would be great to have it at least an option you gotta see why they didnt i know it's some OG's like us that take mario kart serious but u gotta remember it's really catered to kids you can't have grown ups talkin shyt online to children or each when there's prob kids playing too

But you can only chat in lobbies with your friends, so I see no reason why they couldn't extend that to let you chat in race with your friends.

"One shouldn't seek respite in the games various online multiplayer modes either. Even in its pre-release state, the competition (when I could find it) was fierce. As I was being knocked to the rear of the pack again and again while battling against real people from around the globe, I found myself wishing massive lag spikes upon my competitors. game is looking good i'm disappointed that the battle mode seems to be getting bad marks though that was my favorite mode in the game

being able to time those shells with angles was fun as hell and apparently the tracks are more like the race tracks and they scrapped all the old battle arena's

Yeah battle mode getting nerfed is a shame, hopefully Nintendo will put out DLC for better battle arena's like from MK64. Other than that, the game seems like piff.
