He threw a 30yrd pass tonightHe's yet to throw a pass pass 10 yards. His one attempt was a dropped intercept against the Rams.
We're good with our QB tossing 22-yard dimes.
He needs to work on his ability to scramble on water though.

Like Dlee says, Mariota didn't over "3 defenders". He literally floated a ball to a receiver made wide open by his offense's play. He didn't throw anybody open between defenders at all.

That makes it a good throw too though.
Recognizing a safe play at 30 yards downfield? I'll take that any day.
We've all seen it far too many times when they show a replay of WR's wide open down the field and the QB goes for the check down for minimal gain or force a pass to a covered WR which then leads into an interception.
