Exactly.
Way too early to be reading into pre-season performances.
Must admit though Jameis's pocket presence >> and made some nice throws too.

We've seen that it doesn't necessarily translate once the season starts.
My post said he would struggle but get better as the season went on. I liked what a saw considering the line and fukked up running back situation. At least he got in the endzone. :francis:

Gotta bump this stupid thread now that the preseason is about over.

Mariota final stats: 21-30 for 326 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Passer rating: 102.9
Winston final stats: 23-47 for 311 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT. Passer rating: 52.7


I really hope that these two guys become the stars of the league (and I predict that they'll both be decent starting QBs for years), but I love watching the fail of haters going nuts over someone's first 5 preseason plays.

The biggest winner and loser of this "debate" are the O-lines. Jameis is gonna be getting up off the ground a lot this year.
