I got

Westbrook
Harden
Kawhi
Lebron
IT

Its gotta be one of those five, but I am hoping for Westbrook.
I got John Wall over IT myself but am not mad at somebody having IT that high. My order is:
1. Kawhi
2. Harden
3. Lebron
4. Westbrook
5. Wall

I just think that there is not enough weight placed on the defensive end which is what elevates Kawhi over Harden and Wall over IT for me.

Y'all sleeping on Isiah.

Russ is a superstar. What hurts Russ more than anything is his shooting has really regressed this year. He was clearly a better tshooter than Lebron at one point based off the eye test and now he's lucky if he's in par with Lebron shooting wise. I'm not talking field goal percentage either. I'm talking actually shooting. Lebron isn't a good a shooter and because if that he's conscious and careful with his shot selection from the floor. Russ used to take low percentage shot but like Kobe it didn't matter cuz he could hit those shot. Now he's not hitting them shots anymore. I know he expends a lot of energy because he carries the load but his jumper is broke this year is seems like. That whole OKC squad has broke jumpers that's why it's amazing what they done to me. That's squad is the most overachieving team in the league.

Too me Westbrook and harden are co-mvps.

People keep saying this yet OKC was almost universally picked to finish in the top half of the West and Houston was often picked to miss the playoffs before the season started:jbhmm:
Same thing I say and Dantoni also wasn't getting the love he getting now before the season started. Ppl were laughing when Houston made Dantoni head coach

Harden shoulda gunned for the scoring title.

If he was leading the league in scoring and assist it wouldnt even be a discussion.

Preseason predictions I saw for both teams had them both middle of the pack in playoff contention and I saw a lot more expecting OKC to miss the playoffs compared to Houston. I think the thing that changed is no one expected Gordon to have that much left in the tank. Most thought he was finished.

I do disagree with the notion of Houston having better talent around Harden but I will say they have a much better system and players that fit that system compared to OKC. OKC to me has a mish mash of talent. Russ would be vicious with an up and down team and surrounded with three point shooters. Harden is in the perfect system with perfect talent around him to maximize his skillset. I say all that not to hate on Harden either as I still have him above Westbrook because of team success and Harden has been a monster.

This has been a hot button issue over at Clutch Fans. These are some of the rankings that were pulled.

Westbrook, Leonard & Harden.

How about we talk about expectations coming into the season. And how the season is unfolding to see if anyone is having an MVP performance to elevate their team beyond expectations.
