This goes back to what you said earlier that I agreed with, that people expect celebrities to be socially conscious when the celebrities never agreed to that. I agree with that, I just don’t think it’s from a place of “worship” or “obsessiveness” it’s more so from a place of accessibility. Because I’m now closer to you, the allure and mystique of your celebrity is gone and I can demand more of you. Think about Celebs like prince or Michael Jackson. They were worshipped and seen as gods during their prime. You couldn’t send a DM to Michael Jackson. You couldn’t call him a pedophile in a comment on his ig post during his trial.
