no
i said she got dragged for defending Israel
this is the first time this topic has even been discussed with any sort of nuance by western media
up until 2 yrs ago you would find it difficult to even find any acknowledgement of Palestine in Western media
the narrative of the conflict in the West has always been skewed to favor Israel, the current social/political climate around the world coupled with the pandemic aided in people sharing footage on the ground via social media, and countering a lot of media propaganda
Gal got backlash from people because she was being biased/intellectually dishonest (she served in the IDF before her acting career)
but its pro-Palestine posts that are being shadow-banned/censored across social media and other media platforms, until people mobilized to bypass those censorship in different ways (as a contrast to Gal - look up how NYTimes is framing the Hadid sisters as anti-Semitic because they went to a Palestinian protest, as Palestinian descendants)
just wanted to provide some context ... while some true Anti-Semites will use this issue as an excuse to say wild shyt, the majority of people view Israel's practices are violation of human rights law (according to UN), and its a political criticism of the state of Israel for modern day Apartheid and settler-colonialism. People are against the Israeli state/gov, not attacking Jewish people or their identity.
as a breh, also know that the Israeli government has been discriminatory towards Black refugees and Ethiopian jews as well
P.S. side note, the term Anti-Semitic obviously refer to anti-Jewish rhetoric, but its a funny term because their Arab cousins are technically also Semites lol
