most people on this site are younger. The percentage of home owners under 35 is less than 40%. Unless you believe the 8 cert crowd is pushing that number over average levels?Men and women who want to raise a family should get married. Men and women who just want boyfriends and girlfriends and don't want a family which is fine....should not get married. I still question why black folk have this aversion to marriage and raising children in 2 parent households.
Keep thinking marriage = financial ruin. It doesn't and there are many other opportunities that can't be measured as well. Focus on failure and you will always limit yourself. So what? Property is only one form of tangible assets. Furthermore, only a small minority of people actually truly "own" a home outright to where they have completely paid it off, so for all intents & purposes, for the majority of Americans I am discussing aren't truly legitimate "home owners" but essentially renters with a option for ownership. And just because someone may currently not have any assets. doesn't mean that they won't ever have them in the future.
You keep skirting my original question which it's clear you don't have a logical answer for. What's the difference in 2 people raising a family married vs not 2 people not being married?
The original proposition & origins of marriage was based on business principles which it still is today. To think otherwise is nothing but foolish, not to mention comical.

What is the difference? Marriage is a commitment, playing house and baby mama/daddy isn't. You're also losing money (taxes, benefits, insurance, etc).
