Martin looked like a sleepwalking sloppy zombie in his short lived sitcom 5-6 years ago.


I guess Will Smith helped give him life in Bad Boys more recently, but i feel his time is up

Yeah, Martin has seemed a bit 'off' for some years now.
I don't think he can carry a whole movie anymore, but he was solid in BB3 and BB4, so who knows.

This doesn't need a sequel. The humor wouldn't even be the same. Bad Boys is at least adjacent to Fast/Furious series where the name alone sells the sequel.

Not to mention Martin in general is more deliberately paced. He moves now like a grown man how he did when he was acting as "Big Mama". Just slow.
