ehhh I mean.. im sure it'll be good.. but the tone is off for me. and why is Pedro using his customer service voice.. that shyt does not sound good. its OK man.. you're not white you don't have to do this. Seems very generic with them trying to be serious in a comic book world.
Just get to clobberin and making action sound effects. Suicide Squad ReDo had the perfect tone for a comic book movie imo. But him having a crisis of confidence is a decent take on the character. Just let one of these July movies be great, please.

It just made sense to me... I mean it already made sense, but your post made me remember. This whole movie is going to be 60's style schtick. He's talking like that because that's how people talked back then. The only future thing we're getting here is the technology. Everything else is going to be based like we're watching Mad Men.
It's something we all knew. But we're waiting for the point where it becomes just a good movie.. And it seems like they are never going to get away from that. It's almost the driving point. So they can be the new "captain america" when they change over. Completely lost and out of place in the 2000s 616

Definitely will be checking out, considering they're not doing 45 minutes of the hero backstory. It's a 60 year old comic with film and television adaptations. If you don't know the backstory at this point, Wikipedia.
I think Vanessa Kirby is going to shine as Sue. Same with Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben. I agree that the film absolutely needs these four actors to have strong chemistry since the MCU's next major villain is intertwined in their story from the start. Doesn't help they'veb already used most of their other well known rogues as antagonists or anti-heros for different protagonists.
