There was an article saying superman opening figure are going to be between 90mill and 125. FF4 in every article i'm seeing is 125 to 155mill.
But obviously projections aren't guaranteed.

Dc fans are something. Yea, no shyt a Superman movie should outperform a fukking fantastic four movie Superman is wayy popular. The fact that they're gloating over that is ridiculous. Put a Superman movie against a spider man movie and then we'll talk. Yes Superman should make more than f4. If it doesn't that's a huge fail

They tried to do the same thing to chadwick, but he pushed back on it. And it was clearly the right move to keep the authentic accent chadwick choose.
Missed opportunity. Marvel doesn't trust audiences enough

In all fairness, audiences shytted on Channing Tatum's Cajun accent, and he was not only a side character, but that apparently was a true to tha game Cajun accent.

That Mid-Atlantic accent would've been great considering the time period, and then maybe over the course of the movie or movies, he makes it more contemporary. They did it with Black Widow and no one says a thing. I can see audiences not accepting it though.

This has nothing to do with being a "DC fan". Pretty much every metric of data so far has shown that Superman is getting more buzz and excitement than FF.

Also, Spider-Man is way more popular than Superman nowadays. So it would be ill-advised for WB/DC to put out a Superman movie close to a Spider-Man movie.

Superman is more popular than FF4 Yes.

But the Disney and the MCU is more popular than DC. Thats a factor to consider as well. MCU has had movies do numbers simply by association in the past.
Captain Marvel had no business selling a billion for example

But yeah i think channing went full retard with the accent. you never go full retard, people still need to understand you.
It was authentic but needed to be watered down. Like they do with his accent in the cartoons

They be lucky to get half, this looks mid. Retro 60s FF4 is a hard sell to today's modern audience. Not a single chuckle in my audience when the preview came on...

FF4 barely sold at the height of the Comic Book Movie phase in the early 00s and definitely failed with a modern MJB reboot.

Many would see Supes 2x before FF4...

Don't tell me I just Mandela Effected this... I could've swore she had a Russian accent and just switched to American, and full on just kept the American accent... I gotta go back and watch Ironman 2 and Avengers.
