Fantastic Four looks like :trash: outside of The Thing. It also doesn't look like it has anywhere near as much action compared to this movie. Maybe it's being hidden. But it doesn't scream theater WORTHY other than being a "Marvel Movie"

People can't read apparently. It is dropping 80% from it's first Friday. That's what the tweet says. The weekend itself will be lower than that but the way it's looking, it will not be good.

I liked the movie myself, I thought it was decent.

The movie was okay for me but not great.

Spoilers below

1. This version of Reed really didn't seem all that intelligent. None of his plans worked and sue died when his last plan failed. He's the second dumbest version of the character behind the one we got in dr. Strange 2.

2. If you're even a casual fan of the f4 you'd find it bizarre how absent doom is from the movie. He's a man who is supposed to be reed's biggest hater. He'd at the very least be taunting him after every failure. Things wouldn't even have gotten as bad as they did if doom was there. He would not leave the fate of earth to the man whom he considers his inferior in almost every way :russ:

3. CG on Johnny was excellent and that scene where he reasoned with the surfer was dope. I was locked in the whole time. Missed opportunity for them to show her husband(the silver surfer we all know in a flashback tho)

4. Ben was great but didn't really do much with his powers.

5. Their publicist(?) Whose name i can't even remember was getting a lot of screen time without doing anything meaningful.

6. While Sue's speech was great, marvel needs to stop doing shyt like that. It's having real world consequences where people in power actually think all they need to do to calm the public is give a speech.

There's a really great movie in there but it's been hamstrung by the MCU framework of having all he movies interact. If they hadn't announced avengers doomsday, galactus would be someone that gets built up to as a threat instead of just showing him in the first movie. That's like if spiderman homecoming had venom as his opp and he gets dogwalked at the end of the movie.

Some Marvel stans just can’t admit the run been over. Saying this is the marvel movie since endgame isn’t a good sign especially when the bar is so low.

So when the next Avengers movie comes out who is even in the group? :mjlol:

I think Doomsday will get hype off RDJ and Avengers previous era cameos.

But I’m not sure what the exact pull is for F4 beyond Pedro. Surfer has been seen before and Galactus isn’t a name draw beyond comic fans. Even the toy aisle is MCU non-existent in comparison to Cap 4.

i think F4 will do well but I’m prepared for it to perform like a regular Fantastic Four movie.
Called it

Multiverse saga ain’t it.

They’ve been moving sloppy over the years and it sucks seeing it take a toll on the good projects lately. Thor 4 making as much as it did is disgraceful ngl. That one could’ve been better if someone was reining Waititi in even a little bit. Guess the Ragnarok high had Feige and co. feeling a little too good to care.
