@Gizmo_Duck only issue with Miles’ out the gate is his power set is still pretty underutilized outside of… well, outside media lol. The Sony games pretty much ignored the books and did 1,000% more with his electric powers.

Idk if these japs will have the same energy when they could just use established characters with more nuanced electricity (Storm), glowy swords (Magik) and invisibility (Sue) powers. I’d ofc be all for Miles as a launch character.

Bishop and Shaw are kinda in a tough spot since their powers are basically what BP’s suit does. Magik I agree is the most unique, video-games “new” old school character.

Rooflemonger thinks they may add the full squad of Fantastic Four as one character that has the rest of the team as assists for the one character's movesets, like how Captain Ginya worked with the Ginya squad in DBZ Fighters. That could be a good way to include all of them without taking multiple character slots, which would be good since I don't fukk with them at all. But their inclusion in some capacity is pretty inevitable considering their movie is the next big incoming marvel property and the next big shift in the MCU. The question is which character would be the main character. Maybe Sue since her increasing popularity as of recently.

ArcSys made a game with 5 Gokus and managed to make them all feel different. They could do the same with Reed and Kamala. Especially since Reed has gadgets like the ultimate nullifier, negative zone portals, universal entropy gun, etc. Or just make The F4 like the The Ginyu Force in FighterZ.
Or just give us The Maker fukkery.

This might honestly a day 1 buy for me. Is this a complete new IP? Would be good as I wouldn't have to deal with veterans, everybody on the same playing field.

Day 1 fighting games are always the best time since you can progress with the game with everyone else BUT this is an arcsys game, people who are experts at guilty gear / dbfz naturally are going to wash everyone. Arcsys games all have a similar gatling style combo structures & similar hit stun/timing.

Arcsys makes creative characters but that's not really the point. When you're making a marvel fighting game you know what you have to live up to. We all know, even if nikkas don't say it every time

Also to be honest what nikkas really should be concerned about is Arcsys History of atrocious balance Guilty Gear Strive got a whole roster of useless DLC characters

The only character I want for sure in is Phoenix. Just give me my baby. They can make Dark Phoenix like a lvl3 install or something.

Miles is my young goat so I’d love for him, BP, and Blade to all be base roster and meta as hell

I was about to respond to the duck that Sue would be the obvious choice (over Reed) as a launch character. She’s the most unique and untapped out of the 4.

Plus no one cares about Reed if he ain’t a heel, playing cuck to Namor, or getting his ass kicked by Doom

However, what you describe here would be an interesting alternative

decent idea.. but I'd let the player switch on the fly like that 1 Ryu that could become ken and akuma.

also think that ninja turtles can and should eventually be 1 character also (like ur ff4 idea ) only reason is there an even bigger 4 person group than ff4 .
