I started off indifferent but I've seen enough so far that now I'm curious and theory fighting ideas. They've earned enough of my curiosity. Especially seeing that they have corners

Tokon has definitely escaped the "Fukk this shyt" part of my brain where Invincible and 2XKO are sitting comfortably:mjlol:

Yeah i'm just hoping its some advanced movement techniques.

that type of shyt moves fgs in that upper tier. imaging umvc with no plinking :picard:

From what I've seen so far I think the movement should be fine. I don't like Strive but I think Arc is pretty consistent about making a smooth game. Strive is slow but it flows

It seems like they've reach somewhat of a compromise where they're allowing marvel type ground movement akin to plinking(the fast backdashes are definitely plinking inspired) BUT I think that's only a fraction of what makes Umvc3s movement so special and unique

Marvel's movement is so unique because of the variety and accuracy of the characters. The way Magneto gets around is different from how Spencer gets around, which is different from Modok, Shuma, etc. Marvel characters feel true to their powers and Capcom characters feel pasted right from their original games:wow:

If Arc understands the value of having movement variety across the cast they'll be headed in the right direction. Funny enough Ms Marvel definitely has elements of Spencer's zip movement

he was pretty much "it looks cool..." lol

I'm curious to hear from people who get a chance to play it at evo have to say about the gameplay
max is so artificial. iknow ive said it on here before but its really hard to take his takes an opinions seriously

Very different in terms of what the actual gameplay feels like? I’m sure there’s nuances I’m unaware of
Tokon is more of a combo of various other fighting games made by ArcSys (DBZ Fighterz, Guilty Gear Strive, etc)

Functionally it doesn't play like MVC. The assists, combo limit, dashes are all different.

Its best to think of this as its own game if you're interested. If you go in expecting it to play like MVC you'll be disappointed. (I still expect the game to be good its just DIFFERENT).

He’s basically a pay for play slut who’s a gateway to casuals. Idk a single fighting game he’s truly passionate about outside third strike
