This guy is the show runner and executive producer. He also Directed Notorious. I'd say at least give it a chance before brushing it off.

I see your lack of comprehension. I said "topics through Luke Cage" which meant that the problem itself was that the entity of Luke Cage himself is a weak and malign vehicle to tackle black issues.
Okay, I see the "developer" is black, so I'll give it that. Still not a guarantee for anything, and that's because of what Luke Cage as a character, as a vehicle of blackness, actually means. We're not dealing with levels of Static here on the comic book graces of being socially poignant on blackness.
The entire premise of the existence of Luke Cage is faulty in itself considering his stereotypical origin as written by cacs and his lame character since then as written by cacs.

For some of you dummies, the show is going to TACKLE the debate. From what it sounds like systematic racism will be a heavy issue in the series, meaning its more than likely the show will tear down the argument of black on black crime for what it is.
