I voted yes cuz I need a job. Either it be at the casino or as a teacher. We need this money. The amount of money being cut from education is rediculous. There shouldn't even need to be education cuts wtf. Cut some money from these wack ass area d league teams. The Blue Crabs aren't about to make us that much more money compared to the earning potential of a high school grad/ college grad.

No dog in the fight as I stay on the VA side (the BEST side) but if you seriously think this will go towards education then idk what to tell you....just from personal experiences of seeing casinos being built w/ promise of money going towards infrastructure, jobs & education NEVER fulfills. I've seen casinos clean damn near an entire town out in my old hometown, families financial security devastated, cats losing jobs over gambling addiction, cats get locked up cause they lost everything and resorted to robbing cats that was high rolling at those casinos. Only infrastructure that was built/improved was the road around the casino and a bridge linking Ark & Miss together so they could get more people in there. Them shyts bring more harm than good. Yea, you'll get jobs but who wants to be stuck at a $55k /yr job with no upward mobility?? Especially in this area...Salute to those who voted NO & those who voted YES...at least y'all voted but be careful what you ask for...you'll be seeing 888-BETS-OFF billboards in no time

Silver Spring aint shyt, aint a damn thing down there, no real restaurants, no clubs, no good bars. Honestly PG and Mo don't really have shyt(except for the Latino spots).
DC is always the first option for going out, and maybe Bethesda for the restaurants.
Agreed, they really dropped the ball on downtown Silver Spring it coulda been better. Well, at the very least the Fillmore is putting on major acts. If they could turn shytty Place into a halfway decent mall they could salvage the situation.
