Biotech is on the rise in the Beltsville area. And College Park is working on becoming more of a tech center. But everyone in this thread is correct that development has been lacking and largely due to racial politics. It’s coming though.
My brother after graduating from UMD, got a job with the tech dept. then got his masters for free and is now working for Amazon near Dulles Airport

WMATA Green Line extension to BWI seems like a good idea.

they should have done that when the green line was built in the 90s
