Seems like the symptoms appear on both ends of the spectrum. Too high test and you have stuff like Roid Rage There's probably a healthy balance.Since testosterone inevitably comes up in these discussions, I'll share something one of my old friends told me. He's a biochemist, and for a while he was studying performance enhancing drugs. He told me that the typical behaviour that has become associated with "too much testosterone", such as anti-social behaviour, mood swings, violence, etc. is actually more closely found in males with LOW test levels. He was saying in the studies and literature, higher test has mostly good correlations.
His theory was that there was an anti-male political movement that sought to demonise testosterone, as it's the most "male" thing they could think of.

Dang that is interesting...What about those commercials that advertise that Testosterone cream for people with low T so they can get it up, have energy etc..I asked him about that, and he said the rage usually comes from an underlying mental health condition that's unmasked from too many chemical cocktails. He said scientists don't know which one does it specifically.
He also was saying post-natal depression is nearly always found in women who had mental health issues to begin with that were underlying.
I predict a stunning lack of citations in this thread

Are there any other hormones associated with men? Seems like all we hear of is testosterone but that can't be the only thing making a man a man.I asked him about that, and he said the rage usually comes from an underlying mental health condition that's unmasked from too many chemical cocktails. Master, subdue and shape to its will can be applied to anything. It's really just poetic words for "work at want you want and do not stop."So... Following that logic, white folks are the most masculine race since they dominated most other cultures and still remain in power today.
According to OP, masculinity is in itself oppressive. "to master, subdue, shape to its will"
If someone does not fit within this narrative are they less of a man?
