The album is now an adult, brehs and brehettes. What's your favorite track from this album? Did you like it when it dropped? I think it's an ok album, nothing really special. My favorite track was the classic "Feel So Good".
:mjcry: im getting old as fukk

First rap album I ever copped with my own loot. This was one of the key albums that had me like "yeah, this hip hop shyt is way better than any other genre. I'm gonna stick with hip hop."

stupid classic. first time I ever heard X, too. The whole song blew me away as a kid. Beat, flow, chorus, rhymes... everything.

This is a perfect example of how shyt is just so different now. Mase was MAINSTREAM. as fukk. And he still made hard ass records here and there. Yeah you could dance to "Feel So Good" but you could actually recite those verses from "Take Whats Yours" word for word too. That shyt is authentic hip hop.

Totally gone.

Perfect commercial rap album to me.

I think the only track I didn't Luke was Jealous Guy, and it's tolerable.

I wouldn't even count that one against the album because it's not a serious track, like "Playa Hater" on Life After Death. I was :dead:when:takedat: was singing "Why can't you just let it beeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

It's a real classic. As a kid i enjoyed the singles and that, dance to them at parties. But as I got older and listened to the album properly.... it's still a great album. Aged pretty well too.

Take What's Yours probably my favourite song. Although What You Want is a top 50 hip hop single. That loop is from heaven.

to be honest, most of bad boy's albums aged well

I remember vividly copping this from best buy :ohlawd: barely any skippable tracks

when you look back, ma$e is really a 1 album wonder and yet still made a huge mark in hip hop. it's crazy really

i'd like to hear the real story of ma$e; from his humble and broke beginnin' in harlem from ball playin', to signin' to bad boy records to then abruptly leavin' and retirin' and then goin' to clark atlanta and then into ministry and then comin' back to hip hop after like 5 years realignin' himself with his former label but this time with a "clean" image only then to jump ship and go with g unit who's images conflicted with who and where ma$e was at the time. then runnin' off again up back to his church until recently comin' back again after leavin' his church and now tryin' to pursue hip hop again :mindblown:

ma$e is one talented, weird and confusin' nikka :mjlol:

matter fact, here go the article on his move to attend clark atlanta back in 99'

You should read Mase's book. It's kinda poorly written but it goes a little in depth into his life. I remember in one part of the book, he wrote that someone told him that Pac was in LA talking about doing the same thing that Mase did before he was killed. He also wrote about getting stuck up right after he got his deal check :whew:
