all these years I wondered what event this was. Turns out it was Mass Appeal's Christmas Party
That was before Mass Appeal. This is Mass Appeal.

Social media and technology has little to do with banks giving loans and venture capitalists and angel investors investing in your company. In the past yes today with social media and technology at our disposal it's easier than every.
someone said it best how rich people teach their kids to take risks and thing bigger on financial level while people that come from the struggle are taught to survive. those habits make the difference in how we approach business. it's a form of priviledge to not have to worry about a job and bills so you can chase dreams and invest in your visions. the time alone is a luxury. but we gotta change that narrative.
Noticed Needledrop did a joint review with DEHH of the Freddie Gibbs/Alchemist album. I'm so tired of black people giving questionable whites a platform. Yes he is the bigger YouTube person but he did that review to bring black views into his shyt. No thanks.for everyone with an opinion here that posts adam 22 videos, complex, vladtv, genius, dj booth, needle drop reviews.
check yourself.
y'all have a hand in this as well. where are you sourcing your content from and who are YOU supporting. I'm really tired of this generations inability to account for individual responsibility. white people don't just pop up with successful businesses in our culture WE drive business to them.
at least I can look back at growing up in an era where the source dominated reporting on the culture. that strangle hold on the game was vicious. it is a generational thing. we got to a place where people handed out pieces of this thing to outsiders. it wasn't taken. the 90's fans would never have rolled with outside reporting on rap as dominantly as it is done today. let's stop talking about what they are taking and speak on what we are giving away.
It's gonna be people in here enraged who will continue to support outsiders reporting on the culture
nahright is dead eskay is ghost
2dopeboyz is dusty
Okayplayer is irrelevant
need I say more... Black platforms get tossed to the side by nikkaz all the time. Hold us accountable. If you just point fingers to cacs you a goddamn liar.
That was before Mass Appeal. This is Mass Appeal.
i don't think that is necessary because a lot of these platforms are built before they have investors they already have a footprint.Social media and technology has little to do with banks giving loans and venture capitalists and angel investors investing in your company.
He has been entirely dismissive of a lot of elements in rap he doesn't fukk with, he is not objective at all. I hate his reviews. He always sounds like he wishes he had something besides rap to talk about but it's running the industry.Noticed Needledrop did a joint review with DEHH of the Freddie Gibbs/Alchemist album. He's on IG and Twitch and works for Complex. I am not a huge follower of his so if I missed something let me know. He hasn't made any investment in any type of media infrastructure that the companies we are talking about. Mass Appeal produces shyt for Showtime, is a record label, etc. They put out $ to create content. Does Akademiks do anything similar?i don't think that is necessary because a lot of these platforms are built before they have investors they already have a footprint.
that's some old school thinking pardon me saying. i hate to reference Akademik but he's someone like him or hate him who built a platform from nothing and people invest in him because he has an audience he brings. I don't understand his draw but I understand the business of it.
as a Nas stan im not surprised after the gwen Paltrow situation.
Ak was making money before complex hired him for the show. them not having ownership of the show is why budden left and started his podcast with spotify. yet another example of investing without capital. the podcast was done free for 4 years. Drink Champs was done free for about a year. both those podcasts have retained ownership and done so by turning down more lucrative offers that would have taken control away from them. He's on IG and Twitch and works for Complex. Dame ain't any better he's a hypocrite
nikka has 98% white staff.
dame only has white women employed , he def cant talk about others
he even had a flabby white woman steal from him and try put a lawsuit on him

Um, I have some personal relationships that informed that post I didn't just make it up. I am a responsible poster and a huge Nas stan ask around.
Wrong.Gonna drop some unsubstantiated but likely tea regarding Nas' involvement with these cacs. If we remember a few years ago Nas was in deep tax evasion trouble similar to what Joe Crack went thru. Fat Joe had to do a skid bid to get from underneath but Nas was able to avoid jail time. This guy Ben Horowitz who is a huge Nas stan has some juice with the government and was able to assist Nas to get the IRS off his back. I actually think Ben Horowitz is a decent guy but I think the favor for a favor here was Ben made Nas stand with these guys @ MS to give them some credibility as pay back for helping him get from underneath his tax situation.
I really think this issue is similar to the issues @ the forefront today and that's white privilege. These white boys from some type of means were able to get venture capital, bank loans and industry support Black people trying to do similar couldn't. I don't think it has anything to do with Black customers supporting the right publication. The audience goes to where the best content is and I'm a bet it is split down the middle in that regard the difference is Black folks were not given the opportunity to grow their businesses.

The person who gave me the info kept the conversation contained to the post your complaining about. We did not talk about Nike, Sweetchick etc. Believe what you want man. Then you shouldn't have any problems explaining his other deals...since you're plugged in. That will lend credence to your statement.
I think you're blindly connecting dots
