The mushroom cloud is reminiscent of a nuke, and they do have smaller capacity nukes...but the dead giveaway from a nuke is the immediate flash. It would've been significantly brighter and unable to photograph with normal cameras.
I believe most huge explosions have that mushroom cloud , not just nukes.

This is some of the craziest shyt to see in real life. Was working the tower (perimeter security)one night in iraq. It was such a quiet night when all I see a few miles away is a big flash of light, then a fireball, and a few seconds later the sound reaches me, then maybe a sec, or 2 after the sound hits, then concussion hits. Had the tower rocking n shyt.

shyt was crazy.

Conventional explosives have mushroom clouds too. A nukes mushroom cloud is massive and lasts longer. Even a “small” nuke as you say would be much more devastating.

Economic crisis, COVID-19, and now this. Lebanon can't catch a break.

Allegedly a ship in need of repairs docked there 10 years ago and offloaded 50 tons of ammonium nitrate and never came back to pick the shyt up. It never got disposed of and here we are.

10 years? No way. I've seen reports saying months to a year..
