It's been under the radar in Western media but Lebanon is in the middle of a MASSIVE economic crisis right now. Like, there ain't even bread in the stores and regular middle-class people have no food level crisis. If this fukks them up even worse, there will be actual starvation.

Whats the cause. I'm seeing something about their currency? why is suddenly dropping in value.

I don't know a lot, I only found out myself a month or two ago and just because my wife has a good friend who lives there.

The mainstream narrative is that the government has had massive, massive problems with corruption. They had massive problems in the banking system and the country's basic infrastructure, but nothing was getting fixed because they were all primarily concerned with just siphoning shyt out for themselves. So back in October last year the government basically ran out of foreign currency and defaulted on its debts. That made it that much more difficult for them to do international trade, plus inflation started hitting as their currency lost value. Then COVID hit them, they went on lockdown, people got laid off, so their currency was losing value AND people didn't have money either. And imports were fukked. So they just started running out of shyt and most people had no way to get any more shyt.

Like I said, that's the superficial level. At a deeper level I'm sure there could be other shyt I'm not informed on. The religious tensions are probably involved (it's a pretty split Sunni/Shia/Christian country and everyone's always out for their own), the regional tensions are probably involved, but I don't know enough to really speak on it.

:pacspit: At that stupid ass film. :pacspit: At the casting director picking Adrien Brody to be some bad ass hero.
I thought Predators just was a good movie.
I don't follow Adrian Brody's career But I thought he did a good job.

For comparison, this was an munitions explosions at my old fob/camp in Iraq:

How far was you away from that?

that looks like a missile dropped at last milliseconds before the big explosion

Do you see that shyt around 0:03 in? shyt hit just before the explosion.
It look like a big bright light to me right before the explosion.

Sorry conspiracy theorists...that explosion was indeed Ammonium Nitrate or a combustible chemical similar. But I'm sure it was NH4NO3(formula). Conventional bombs dont explode like that...especially ur typical guided bombs. That fire lit some shyt it wasn't supposed to and wham!

I figure it started with fireworks and then the fire just spread and hit something that was highly flammable then boom.

Just cause it's the Middle East nikkas believe it's impossible to just be a negligent accident. nikkas want to swoop in with all their hezbollah conspiracy theories. Accidents can happen anywhere
