Masta Ace was the most slept on member of the Cold Chillin crew and its a little crazy how long it took for him to get his just due. With that said Masta Aces rap style is timeless. He's hasn't dropped one dud in his discography and Take a Look Around, Disposable Arts and Long Hot Summet are personal classics to me.

Happy to see the love "Nostalgia" is getting here! That song is so dope, reminds of of why I fell in love with Hip-Hop in the first place. As many have said, Ace's style just got sharper with time.

Which is wild cause as the story go no one wanna to rock with him when he got there and if it wasnt for Shan bailing out he wouldn't have gotten introduced to the world via The Symphony. Also it's crazy how Ace Kane and G Rap is in their 50's and still spit crazy.

in certain circles(mine included ) he was considered the heir apparent to DJ Premier as far as providing that NYC boom bap sound. he had some real nice joints through the years but to me could never really do it as consistently and at as high a level as Primo did.
