Review
Return of Masta Kill 3/5 rugged, stripped down breakbeat. MK and Cappa, someone named Dudas on the hook and in the middle. sounds like some random Brooklyn clown, should have had another WTC member on this or Priest
Loyalty Is Royalty 4/5 This is old, tho. if you heard the track from the 9th compilation its basically the same track with an additional background singer. songs dope but idk why he put this here
Therapy 3/5 everyone has heard this by now. MK with Red & Meth over a simple PF Cuttin beat. Wu banger, beat could be better. the drums are some headcrack tho, like some Breakbeat Lou shyt. piano melody throws me off
OG's Told Me 3.5/5 i dont love the guests (Boy Backs from PHilly and Moe Roc) but the simple Dame Grease beat fits MK and hes smooth on it. playable
Trouble 2/5 the bad type of 9th production, very muddy. drums are trash, lazy vocal loop thrown in. meh
Skit is a actually a 1 verse banger over some True Master. why the fukk? this is confusing. beat is crazy
Down With Me 4/5 a salute to the DJ's and producers who have played his stuff over the years. Sean P starts his verse with an MK line, i like the menacing bassline. sounds more like one of 9th's students than himself, if that makes sense. darker more like M Phazes or someone like that shyt. gotta have audio output that does the bass justice it sounds weird on cpu speakers
Tiger & The Mantis ft. GZA & Deck. 4.5/5 this is my fav so far, this trio never fails with the bars. simple haunting beat, fits the bill. GZA with a vicious 8 bars that closes out under 3 mins
Real People ft. Prodigy & Crooked I. 3/5 the beats kinda weird, but it works? idk, P's verse is dope, Crooked spits real aggressive i like it. beat could be better but theres bars on this
Flex With Me 4/5 the most unique beat so far. groovy bassline with some congas in the background. Chanel Sosa is a (shock) singer, she iight sounds like top 40 but idk this beats wavy she doesnt fukk it up
Calculated ft. Ra Stacks & Nick Guns. 0/5 this is terrible. beat, guests, auto-skip
Noodles Pt. 1 4/5 unique tempo from Illlmind, string based slow dripping type beat. it works, i fux with this. MK spits for 3 mins straight in a rare moment
Noodles Pt. 2 3/5 the heads got this, another old track. its cool nothing crazy. park jam style banger, very simple very direct
Outro is a nice piano melody by Ming-Lin. instrumental
all in all id give it around a 6.5/10. its got alot of tough tracks, its somewhere in the neighborhood of Made In Brooklyn. couple missteps, but a worthwhile rls
