shyt IS A GREAT PLAN!!!! ARTISTS STOP FEELING SHAME FOR BUYING shyt!!!!

major labels, indy labels, no name labels, major artists, indy artists, no name artists.... THEY ALL PAYING!!!

they are paying for followers.... they are paying for radio... they are paying by dangling bigger artists on the label... they doing favors for favors... they paying to get on these shows... they pay to get on these blogs... they pay to get in the magazines... they are paying for awards... they pay PR companies to go out there and get them spots that they don't deserve

they paying for every step of their buzz, but then want to try and clown and make fun and tell you not to do it.. BULLshyt

go out there and buy all that shyt up... do what they have all been proven to have done, and still doing... they'll have 5 million followers and still pay to get another 2 million then go brag about having 7 million

if 150k fake plays are going to get you to number 1 on the soundclick search that day, then it was money well spent... then screenshot it and post it on IG and then buy some followers there and get those numbers up too

you better learn how to play the game... that "keeping it real" shyt ain't getting you a motherfukking deal

You're talking in extremes. This is not all true

Breh... if you worked in digital marketing you'd know this is what labels/artists do

Yeah some artists do blow orgnically from youtube algorithims ...but if you don't have the money
you'll be end up kissing ass and peddling a record for 2 years like Fetty Way did with Trap Queen

Yeah..it caught on afterwards but 2 full years is a long time now...aint no artist development anymore

And it only caught on after the label push (money push)

You got established legends telling you flat out how much it costs them STILL to get a radio hit. And these dudes still believe in the fairytale of hard work

There's a reason every artist is now hiding their label ties and faking Indy. You can go right to fake followers website and lookup how these dudes have 50-60% fake followers and they famous already

Nah..it started to bubble in the strip joints and DJs started to f*ck with it

Once it got viral on social media...off course Lyor stepped in to finesse another 360

There are 3 ways to get on radio...either give them what they want ( advertiser placements )
or pay a label to handle that for you upfront or sign that dotted line and get raped

The only artist whose truely independent is Macklemore but he didn't re-up his radio deal
and chose to cater to Hiphop and seek black acceptance over just putting out hits for cacs

I'm saying that most of you people rappin need to find some better shyt to do or start to go outside more. And that's not mean girls logic it's the truth nerd nikkas have no idea how to be "cool" for lack of a better term. Ever seen a nerd nikka with all the latest gear after Christmas in high but the shyt just look odd, why cause he just don't have that "swag" for lack of a better term. It's like a nikka from Africa tryin to make American rap song it's just not gon sound right because he's not apart of that tribe.

I was gonna do that thing where someone disagrees logically and then you respond logically but with some slick shyt at the end, then I respond logically with more slick shyt until it devovles into us calling each other Cacs and whatever other term yall use for people you disagree with.

Instead, I'mma let you cook.

I'm pretty sure people like Wiz, Drake, Childish Gambino, RZA, Kanye etc were nerds in school btw.

He did this kinda shyt with CDs what make you think he wouldn't try to hustle SoundCloud :russ:

Lol and buying Soundcloud plays is way cheaper than what he did back in the day. He used to bring whatever new No Limit record was getting ready to come out up to my high school and give them to all the kids that had systems in they car. He'd pay them $500 to jam whatever CD for a week before it dropped and hand out flyers similar to the inserts he used to put in the CDs advertising the date the CD was dropping.

This was genius and it worked :manny:
That was like back in '97 though, today it just reeks of desperation and lack of creativity.

PS, when I first saw this thread, I thought it said "Master P buying Soundcloud" :ooh:

like i said... IF YOU ARE AN ARTIST

it's much better than spending $400 to get on a coast 2 coast dj showcase... being 1 of 36 artists that night to win absolutely nothing and get nowhere cause everyone in the industry knows it's all bought and paid for

it's better than paying $2500 to open up for lil wayne and every artist that comes to your town... knowing you performing at 8pm, in front of nikkas who already know you, and don't give two fukks about you, cause they really came to see the other famous guy

there's a long list of indy artists who paid their way into the game... like 95% of them... nobody gets signed or famous or on, based off good talent and street hustle... that shyt is OVER

you better invest your money in a good PR firm... which can be hundreds a month... or start throwing your own shows... which can cost you thousands you probably won't make back....

OR... you can start paying these little sites to boost your shyt up... and flip that into unknowing club owners and djs.... to flip that into a few shows and spins... and flip flip flip

if you ain't got no finesse.... you might as well give it up now..... you done in this game
That pay for play shyts a finesse I agree but the promoters are hip to the schemes of you not bringing actual people they not fukkin with you. Blog posts don't help no more shyts dead. Best time to try rap shyt is high school and college this my point about being popular, I don't even mean universally but amongst a certain group.
