I was at the concert. There were many bad moments that most remember, but I think it was slightly overstated. They weren't boo'd off stage, but people did boo several times.

First was when some chick was on stage talking and asking everybody were they ready for P, Silkk, etc. and was clearly stalling before the acts were ready. They weren't 2 hours late, the show was supposed to start at 7, and they got on stage around 8:30 after a couple of warm up acts. At most, it was probably a half hour late because those acts finished up around 8. Those warm up acts were people nobody ever heard of and did nothing of significance.

The next time they kept booing was when Silkk would rap the beginning hook for a song, people would get hyped, then the song just stopped after the hook, and Silkk would just start talking about "we love y'all, thanks for 20 years of support" and shyt before going to another song. I can see they tried to do a medley of songs, but the transition to them was bad. Felt like he/they didn't know how to run through a medley of songs.

Mia X and Mystikal were the acts that everyone liked the most. Mia did her thing and Mystikal came out after Silkk (albeit late because Silkk was trying to do It Ain't My Fault to transition to Mystikal's set but he wasn't on stage ready yet).

They boo'd the last time when Silkk was trying to introduce Percy and Ice Cream man came on, people had their phones out like he was about to come on stage, but he wasn't ready yet, so the song was awkwardly playing and Silkk just started rapping Percy's lyrics until Percy was ready to get on stage. People were restless about that and started booing.

Like I said, it wasn't a great show, but I do think some of the stuff people were going off about was slightly overstated. Everyone was hyped for all of the popular songs, but got tired and restless when shyt didn't look right. STL is known to boo anybody if they don't do their thing. I remember famously booing Charlie Murphy off stage before.
was young bleed & kane & abel there?

Them nikkas was trash. all of them not named mystikal. they had a few hits and a few moments but overall that shyt was trash. them nikkas had MAYBE half of 97 and a quarter in 98. Everything after that was Cash Money copying trash. Don't rewrite history.

We laughed at every album cover at least. Don't confuse individual respect with overall respect lol. Cash Money came and got them the fukk outta there with Mannie fresh production

Shut up nerd all them cash money & no limit nikkas came up together used the same producers was in the same hoods, same studios & was signed to the same local labels before no limit & cash money signed them

Mannie fresh & klc was making beats for all them nikkas

And cash money actually copied them first & them album covers look no different they copied their business acumen & also release a cheap as movie

Im bout it>>>>baller blockin

Cash money fell off also after a few yrs & nikkas started leaving lil wayne brought them back to life

P, silk & c actually sold more than bg juve & wayne during both prime yrs in the 90s & had just as many hits, classic songs & albums

Wayne was kinda trash then, bg was not a good rapper & his second album was trash & juve had 1 hot album

And turk :heh:

All of this is true except, Juvenile's 400 Degreez was the highest selling album of anything they dropped.

i fukks with Plies heavy, it just seems wierd for him to be a guest. If the show was in Florida, i'd understand

But in Chi, he shouldve had Twista :yeshrug:

Chicago ppl love Plies, Gucci, Meek Mill, Future and Dipset. Twista would be a nice addition too.

I just watched the video.

its not nearly as bad as OP made it out to be.

they just gotta work out the kinks and the millers need to take it more serious.

the crowd might've been booing in spurts but I see they were overall rockin thru the show.

also, people were making it seem like the stage was flooded and the performers couldn't move around. when in reality, all of the extras on the stage were way in the back. a lot of people in here are looking suspect, like theyve never been to a show before. either that, or theyve only been to shows done by corny rappers.

Everything in the bolded is bullshyt

No Limit was busy jocking and tryna sound like Bay Area nikkas when Cash Money was coming up.

What beats KLC got on any Cash Money albums?

Cash Money aint copied shyt from No Limit. No Limit sure as hell jocked them though :hhh:

Copied their business acumen? :skip:

Cash Money wasn't out here scamming UPC barcodes to push numbers :pachaha:

:beli: at B.G not being a good rapper when he was a better rapper at 15 then the entire No Limit label

Nah. They had Mr. Serv On and Fiend there tho. And there were about 75 people just on stage in the back not doing anything. :mjlol:

Which was a lie?

They were hours late
Shytty sound and lighting
No back drop
50 nikkas on stage
Lip synching
No cohesiveness on stage
Only did snippets of songs
They got booed

you said they got booed OFF STAGE. that's completely different than what actually happened.

50 nikkas way in the back of the stage, just like tons of other concerts. is that really knew to you?
whats funny is, east coast concerts are the ones that usually have 100 dudes on stage to the point where the performer cant move around. but this is the chit that you chose to critique?

OF COURSE they didn't do a whole lot of full songs seeing that they have way too many hits & popular album cuts that they didn't get around to performing at all. not to mention all the collabo songs & crew cuts that they cant possibly do in full. I can tell that you really don't know chit about no limit or their catalog. nobody with any knowledge of them would even expect such.

I agree about the cohesiveness & lack of organization. and I don't care for lip synching either.
everything else really doesn't matter as long as the get the latter together.

most of these new orleans rappers were on other label and/or doing songs with others before they got on NL or CMR.

a lot of the rappers on no limit back in the mid-90s, WERE ACTUALLY FROM THE BAY AREA.

cash money got plenty of chit from no limit. they just weren't as unapologetically blatant about it, like no limit was.

HELL YEA they copied their business acumen/blueprint.

cash money didn't have to scam barcodes, because universal most likely bought a lot of records themselves. common practice that most majors do. indie labels scam barcodes to keep up.
