I think P is a great entrepreneur in music and other ventures but I think the fashion/shoe game he should leave alone, he’s just not well versed in it so everything is made into an affordable knock off. He should really hire some different black designers and creatives to run that part of the business for him, there input could change the direction and perception of his brand.

That is very true. Master P has been caught biting many times during his career.
The funny thing is, his name still rings bells and some of the dudes/crews that he copied are MIA.
:manny:
P's business acumen and timing put in the position he's in.

Currently music wise, he's a wash.

He bit A LOT of peoples music who are still releasing music independently.

We're saying the same thing.
Outside of a few songs, P's music was never great. However, outside of OutKast & Cash Money, almost everybody else that P bit is playing in the independent market, usually not by choice.
Releasing music independently doesn't mean that those have P's cultural impact.
Meanwhile, Master P can still get movie, tv, and other entertainment deals just on the strength of his business acumen & hustle.
Master P currently has us talking about his ugly shoes, that awful movie he just put out, and the wrestling fed he just invested in may soon be a topic in TSC.

Not a chance

For P to have netted 400M... No Limit would’ve had to grossed 800M etc

Highest selling album from No Limit sold 3.1M albums

Y’all dudes eat up everything :mjlol:

Nah breh you trippin Lmao
The point is he still pretty caked up. Yeah nothing has caught on since his hey day in the late 90s. But y'all thinking cause he ain't linked up with some successful white company just to be a face of that company he has to not have money. His whole thing has been to do it on your own . I'll stop with the pocket watching now tho cause ultimately none of us know what's in his bank account

Sure. Master P bit:
OutKast (Hootie Hoo),
2Pac (Krazy was his Shyne),
Cash Money (P claims he owns the name Hot Boys),
E-40 (I have to give P a pass on this one, because his time in Northern Cali may have influenced the early No Limit sound)
Those are the only artists that P copied who I can say had as much of a cultural impact as Master P.

I'm not enough of a Master P fan to know how he bit Scarface (The GOAT), but I wouldn't say that either of the Luniz (Yuk or Numbskull) have made as big of an impact as Master P with their independent releases or Yukmouth's solo catalog.
"I Got 5 On It" is a classic, but that's where their legacy ends nationally. No diss, but even Tone Loc and Young MC got more burn out of their One-Hit Wonder status than the Luniz did, and Yuk even had J. Prince's backing for a long time.
