I'd be surprised simply because they gave McCarthy about four more years after that debacle in Seattle in the 2014 NFC Title Game.
McCarthy even won playoff games after that

And got to the 2016 NFC Title but lost to the Atlanta team that choked against New England..

He's about to enter next season on a blazing hot seat if he doesn't get fired.

His first 3 seasons, he was 39-10 (.796), won the division 3 straight times, went to two NFC Championship Games. The elephant in the room is he had late prime, MVP Rodgers at quarterback.

In the 4 years since, he's 37-30-1 (.544), hasn't won his division, has missed the playoffs once, and has been the 7 seed every year he made the playoffs.

Let me go ahead and say something that needs to be said. I'm a Jordan Love fan. We've seen enough now, he's not the second coming of Favre or Rodgers. He's a really good quarterback, but he's not elite, and way more inconsistent than those two.

And that assessment isn't about this one game. It's a summation of now watching him as a starter for 3 years. The Packers got essentially 30 years of Favre and Rodgers, Love is a downgrade.

Part of the problem, is when you don't have an elite QB, you gotta be elite in your play calls and in other areas. LaFleur is not a consistently elite play caller.

So it looks like he was carried early on by Rodgers.

I wouldn't fire him unless I truly think someone better is coming to replace him. But, next year is it. No more 7 seeds. No more blown big leads. These mf's ended the year on a 5-game losing streak, this is almost unforgivable. You're the Packers, not the Raiders.

I wouldn't be surprised if they offed him, but I'd keep him going into next year. His ass is definitely on the fukking clock, though. This is an embarrassing loss that will be hard to shake back from.

MLF gets fired and GB is the most attractive job on the market. You can almost pick your next coach. You could probably even get Curt Cignetti if you wanted

I don’t know how GB lost that game. I wouldn’t be surprised if bro gets fired and they go at one of these available coaches
I know how he lost it. Its how he plays. When he plays with a big lead, he forces his stupid ass conservative plays. He lets the other team hang around until its too late. Its why i had ZERO expectations that game. After scoring 21 in thebfirst half and then punting 3 times in a row after, i knew what time it was.

Man kept calling run plays into the middle of Bears defense. 14 carries 16 yards for Jacobs. Jacobs should get cut. Dude slow as hell now.

That's the frustration with MLF. It was so predictable. Then your left with 3rd and long

Dude clearly been hurt by the knee injury for the last few weeks but LaFluer wants an old ass banged up 30 year old running back leading the backfield.

That back up looked waaaay better

Love was not the problem. He threw for 4 TD's and had the kicker made the extra point or field goal they likely win. I don't know how you look his direction after the game. You wanted him to cover DJ Moore too? He's definitely capable of winning a ring. Unless you have a trade package for Patrick Mahomes you're going to have to accept that all these QB's come with flaws.

GB's Super Bowl chances were pretty much done when Micah went down. Their defense just isn't good enough. If Tucker Kraft wasn't injured maybe the offense would've been so unstoppable they could overcome that but we'll never know.

MLF is the problem. Bears made adjustments. He didn't until it was too late. Get rid of him and if the Steelers lose and Tomlin is let go hire him. If not there's other coaches available who will still be an upgrade.
