Seriously though, who the hell were the Raiders supposed to go after?

Give Pryor more chances? McKenzie is working for his survival as GM, if you were in his shoes, would YOU trust in Pryor and his throwing mechanics to save your job? If McKenzie keeps his job, that means he's doing good things in a dogshyt situation. If you disagree, well then there's a reason why every recent Al Davis move you agreed with led us to the situation we're currently in.

I'm not blinded that the offense still has a lot of holes to fill. Hopefully tho, Sparano can work with these OL they brought in. Briesel is not a starter, he's more of a swing OL and Wiz was hurt a lot last year. Raiders are playing it smart, not overpaying cats like MJD who reportedly wants 3.5MM per... that is Jennings money and I think McKenzie kept the correct Raider (McFragile) from Al's regime to show if he can do it.

The positive out of all this are the defensive pickups. Yes, they are old, but they are experienced and smart. I want to see what Allen/Tarver defense can do with capable players and not a bunch of UDFA or reserve players that have to start because they are talent/injury depleted.

Time to re-up my season tickets.

Schaub is the best QB OAK has had since Rich Gannon and was a Pro Bowler a year ago. Last yr was a horrible year for EVERYONE in HOU, he could easily come back and feast. Low risk, high reward move for a veteran QB plus y'all only gave up a low round pick for him. Am I the only one who likes this move?

Id agree with this provided he heavily restructures the contract to like 5m per. otherwise its not quite low risk.

actually keeping up a good y/a is really tough when you run a lot, so its not actually 'easy'. it actually requires a great running game.

Jets running backs that year was Thomas Jones & Shonn Greene. Both of them just plow ahead for 4 yards. Nothing elusive about neither one of them. So if you're running the ball 40 times a game for 4 yards, it makes it seem like they're good but they were not.

if you run the ball 40 times a game for 4 yards, youre not averaging 4.5 ypa. you're being stupid right now

volume running, unlike passing, actually shrinks your averages. if you can run a ton while keeping up great y/a, you have a very good run game at the very least

not sure what the fukk the rbs or elusiveness has to do with anything. you can have a great run game only running dives for all I care.

How you're gonna tell me about the Jets sorry ass run game ? You're an old head who still believes in game managers. What im saying is we ran the ball a lot but it took them all game just to reach 100 yards. You see why those type of running backs are being phased out the game. Neither Jones or Greene has homerun ability and you see the Jets let both of them go.
