These circumstances are already untenable. Ain’t nobody living high off of child support except baby mamas with rich fathers...and that’s a very small percentage. The issue is that some people were conditioned to desire less & their kids may or may not follow suit.

Ah, the old sterilization argument. Many of us wouldn't be here if such a measure were implemented. The criteria would be so subjective and ever evolving that the policy would be ripe for abuse.

The very idea has an early 20th century, "We're doing this for THEM," vibe. Saving the idiots (actual medical term) and feeble minded from themselves.

Sterilization is the easy answer, honestly. It's not a brave or bold idea. It cuts out all of the pesky work of figuring out how the potential candidates for sterilization found themselves in that situation in the first place. There's an accountability narrative in there but not the one you all might be thinking of.

It's not untenable. Otherwise people wouldn't engage in the behavior. And I ain't talking about NBA players baby Mama's. I'm talking about these broke folks having 4 and 5 kids in poverty.

How men gonna do that if women ain't picking responsible men.

And move out with the no role models line. I was talking with a young lady a couple weeks ago complaining about her last two boyfriends hitting her. So I said why don't you leave those types of dudes alone. She then replied that those are the only relationships around her it was normal. I then reminded her that Obama had been president for 8 of her 19 years. She saw a good black male role model. She just didn't want to do better. Welfare should be tied to maintaining a job and having a clear path to get off welfare in the future. Government subsidizes daycare should be for working couples who need a break, not the single mother who doesn't even work.

The entire system keeps lazy people complacent so kids dont starve, when it should be designed to help people better their situation so they can become productive members of society.
