Face pretty much done rapping, he’s in politics now. He was never super in the Houston scene anyways. Only Htown guy I woulda liked to see woulda been Bun or maybe Slim Thug. To be honest, Htown music just ain’t what it was in the mid 2000s. Travis Scott basically ruins every feature because he makes every song sound the same. All that auto tune rap gets old super quick.

I got no problem with Maxo going in his own lane. While getting together with the older cats woulda been nice, he gotta do music his way.

Scarface my favorite artist of all time...an I got plenty of grey tapes in my collection...but you gotta let that shyt go. Maxo part of the new generation. A Travis Scott collab is much more important that a Face or Zro appearance. Makin ol head music will throw off the younger cats who might fukk wit him. He don't need to sound like old school Houston. Makin' authentic dope music will get him that stamp of approval more than any legend cosign ever could. He makin his own lane...his own sound...his own music...Sit back and enjoy it.

He basically made his own Houston album and I’m 100% fine with that. There’s other newer Houston artists making stuff that sounds like they’re from way somewhere else. Maxo is new school while having old school upbringing. I def appreciate that.

Agreed. Some people just need to respect and enjoy the artist vision. Everytime someone up and coming come out, people complain if they don't do the stereotypical shyt where their from. Or in general fans think they gotta make music with the legends that may have influenced them to be validated. Sometimes its more effective to collab with your peers instead of the vets that came before you. Sounds more organic at least. Let the sound evolve. More people are gonna give this a chance when they go on their streaming service playlists and see current...relevant artists like Travis, Schoolboy Q and Ferg on here. That just a fact. I think Mike Dean mixing the album, and Hov sequencing the album is a pretty big stamp of approval. Juss sayin.
