That argument was the biggest push for MBDTF being one of the best albums ever. Sonically, that album took pieces from each of his previous albums and combined them into one album. That's the album's strength and weakness. Its a weakness because at some points, it sounds like all of these elements clashing together instead of being in harmony with each other.
But yeah, there are several albums that were far more progressive than Kanye's MBDTF.

This era Kanye was dope. It started with the new track every Friday and then this album dropped. Was a beautiful roll out to an album and then the album didn't dissapoint.
