Great album, but it's not the GOAT album that it was made out to be. It doesn't define an era and none of the songs are transcendent enough to where it really warrants a GOAT label.

But that's part of what makes it so great, NOBODY in Hip Hop sounded like that before/since, and it still sounded like a Hip Hop album. So Appalled still gets me in a mood every now and again
