The way that feign was rubbing the two dollars together combined with the desperation bop was Marlon Brando levels of acting.

:salute: Watching the whole interview, very informative. Eiht brought something very interesting that I never thought about, they never said Blood or Crip in the movie. They didn't want to create beef or possibly not get support from people from certain hoods due to set claiming.

I told nikkas this years ago but yall have failed to recognize the greatness of the best film of all time.

Lets break this inaccurate post down.

I will start with the assertion that Menace was an over the top portrayal of LA street culture. See, what most people fail to realize about Menace is they didn’t use any mention of crips, bloods, or other gangs. To make a movie based on LA streets, especially at that time, leaving out the street gang element would have to be done on purpose, as it is at the core of LA street culture. But Menace didn’t even mention gangs and barely even implied gang culture. This is because THEY DID NOT use LA stree culture as a crutch.

How could they be trying to blend Colors and Boyz in da Hood, when both of those films highlighted gang culture in LA, and Menace did not? Menace was set in Watts, but was relatable to all urban environments across America because it didn’t use crip and blood culture which is generally unique to LA, especially at the time.

Please don’t use your teenage mishaps as a reason to inaccurately attack what is undoubtedly the most misunderstood and overlooked movie of all time. A true masterpiece. This thread is disrespectful for putting the two movies in the same sentence.

I’ve negged and reported everyone who dapped your post
