McDonald's is under a lot of pressure to improve in the face of companies like Chipotle that offer far better quality (not excellent, just better) food for not much more money. I think all the years of bad press (Supersize Me, Food Inc etc) have finally caught up to them as milennials who watched these documentaries as kids are finally reaching the age where they buy their own food.

I mean why pay $2.49 for a 'triple cheeseburger' made of styrofoam and $2.99 for fries that don't decompose when you can have an actually decent meal made of ingredients that your body can break down for a couple more dollars. When you watch a video of a dude smoking a Mcdonalds fry like its a cigarette, subconciously you're gonna think twice about putting them in your body.

I would also say that McDonald's is suffering from similar bad press that has befallen Walmart; both are seen as low class places where people act ratchet for the hell of it. Look up 'McDonalds fight' on Youtube and observe how many videos there are of people beating the hell out of each other while McNuggets and BBQ sauce fly every which way. All of this contributes to a negative brand image that people are slowly turning away from.

Bring back a solid dollar menu and that will solve all their problems.

I do like having a couple of triple cheeseburgers for lunch so they're moving in the right direction.

That I'll exacerbate their problem. Dollar menu was hardly profitable, the margins are in the combos. In 2015 $1 items are even less profitable. It was all a ploy to get you in but nikkas started constructing meal for $3 and not buying a soda which has a huge margin.

Dollar menu is not the solution, better quality is and that's Why chipotle, shake shack , panera and the likes see rapidly taking market share, McDonald's will never be as dominant again. They need to just invest in another brand. And make their billions selling "food" people actually want to buy in 2015

I find it amazing a spot like Cookout is cheaper and better/better quality than Micky Ds
You can do that in NC. Food costs and wages support that. Can't to that in NYC or London. McDonald is a global company. shyt is standardized for the most part globally. Can't give cook out value everywhere

That BBQ tray that's like 4.75 ???:wow:. Nah that's to much value

I only hit up McDonalds about once a month but I can't front, I've been there 2x in a week since they put those Filet o Fish sandwiches up at 2 for $4, them shyts will always be crack to me. I was in college during the 2 for $2 era when a nikka was struggling with money, I ate enough McDonalds during that time to last me a lifetime.
