People are not smart enough to figure out these kiosks
Eh the older generations maybe but the 40 and under crowd will figure it out quick. Plus the more and more people grow accustomed to them the easier it will get.

It will be a pain at first and people will take a long time putting their order in but in 5 years it will be the norm. Plus I'm sure the restaurants will be loaded with kiosks all over the place. The ones in the cities with a lot of customers will probably have like 10-15 kiosks so there may not even be a wait.. All u gotta do is put your order in and wait for it to come out.

How many registers are usually open in a McDonald's? 4-5 at most if it's busy?

What if there are like 10 kiosks?

I have faith it will be easy. Then again who knows.

Until they can come up with a machine to cook that food properly and clean up after itself when it doesn't this isn't gonna replace that many jobs.

:ehh: Good point...I once waited 20 minutes for an ATM with only 2 people ahead of me...most people are not bright ..if it can take 10 minutes to figure out how to use a machine with only 4 options

withdraw, deposit ,transfer or view balance i can only imagine the lines that will form around a machine with 100+ menu options :skip:

They are checking their balance, making a withdrawal, checking their balance again, making a transfer, and then checking their balance once again.

Then they bust out another debit card and start the whole process again:yeshrug:

Some regulations made sense and those are the ones that are easy to meet but many are just ridiculous and not to mention the redundancy and bureaucracy is just over the top..the idea that it takes 10 inspection teams from the UDSA,County,City,State Health,Fire Marshall,OSHA,EPA to all sign off before you can even get started is a bit too much...some consolidation is overdue

there has to be a balance between safety and common sense.Perhaps we have gone too far in the quest to eliminate risk that enterpreneurship is being stifled as well.

:laff: you have no idea what you just said here

this is the go-to republican "I'm just talking common sense" con job

http://www.businessinsider.com/over...-it-really-hurt-employers-or-employees-2011-2

Example 1: Nearly impossible obstacles of entry created by regulatory agencies.
If you see yourself as a masochist, feel free to attempt to open an eating and drinking establishment in New York City. First, there’s the community board process, a minimum three to four month process to simply let you know if the community will give you the thumbs up or down when it comes to recommending you to receive a liquor license from the State Liquor Authority (SLA).

Although only a recommendation and not law, usually the SLA stands by the side of community boards so if they recommend denial, chances are no matter whom the operator- you will be denied a license. Most owners quit after being denied by a community board because it’s not worth the risk of going through the lengthy and expensive process of building your space and renting it from the landlord.

Along with the community board process, you have over 10 city agencies to deal with and you need to secure about 30 permits with over 20 inspections. Those dreams so many have about being in the corner of the bar, high fiving their friends and passing out free drinks as the powerful bar owner turn into a nightmare before you even open the door. This whole process usually takes about a year to open which means not $1 of revenue for a year.

Back to the reason I’m writing this. During this first year before opening your doors- do you know how many people get employed full time… zero. Tax dollars… zero. If the time it takes to open would be cut down by two thirds, how much faster would people find jobs in these tough times?

:laff: see this is the shyt I mean

Did you read your article. This is the stupid shyt we're talking about:
Barack Obama's health-care reform of 2010 had many virtues, especially its attempt to make health insurance universal. But it does little to reduce the system's staggering and increasing complexity. Every hour spent treating a patient in America creates at least 30 minutes of paperwork, and often a whole hour. Next year the number of federally mandated categories of illness and injury for which hospitals may claim reimbursement will rise from 18,000 to 140,000. There are nine codes relating to injuries caused by parrots, and three relating to burns from flaming water-skis.

:laff: you nikkas know not a damn thing about ICD10 codes so why talk about it? When I'm filling out a chart narrative, or looking through a patients past medical history, or a insurer is determining billing information, detailed information is key for treatment. The expansion of codes from ICD9 to ICD10 is due to increased specificity. Getting a burn on the right arm vs left arm vs a right leg etc - which is medically important. So what was ONE code in the past for burn on patient, is now 20+ codes to account for a specific region of the body. See: ICD-10: - ... | NueMD

Also we're the only advanced nation that was late to the ICD 10 game.

And the ICD10 codes deal with medical quality. Improving individual business processes within the hospital depends on individual process improvement efforts and less reliance on paper.

This is the Republican "I'm talking common sense" con game.

Not even worth getting into your less than qualified business credentials. You should probably know that 85% of fire departments in the US are volunteer. Aaaand you should probably know that I volunteer in one of the busiest counties in the nation.
