MCU is boring asf right now

They're taking characters like Moon Knight and making them corny
I liked the concept of Eternals but they didn't do enough with it


The TV shows as a whole are teasers and aren't filling

I think the OG movies were the best because they knew they had to introduce stuff slowly and have it stand on its own

every new project i've enjoyed has had characters that were introduced before the snap. The rest were very meh, and I think that's going to end up being a real problem at some point in the future.

Every new character they introduce is just... okay. Do nikkas really give a fukk about Shang Chi? Or any of those mid ass Eternals? Shang Chi was cool, but it could have been much much better. Same with Eternals and Moon Knight. I'm just not fukking with these new characters as much as the old ones.

I disagree.

-Eternals is one of my favorite MCU projects as of recent, only thing keeping it out of my top 10 is how much fan service a lot of the other selections have. That shyt gave me so many movie/show ideas, had my wheels turning more so than any other marvel project I can think of.

- Just re-watched Shang Chi tryin to get a friend caught up to speed, liked it more a second time around.
-No way home was a great ride though I'm not really in a hurry to watch it again.
-I barely blinked during MOM, looking forward to a re-watch on D+ soon here.
- Wandavision, Loki, and Moon Knight to a lesser extent have all been fun, thought provoking and more imortantly had some damn decent acting.
- I'm feeling Ms Marvel so far

The things I didn't like as much were stuff enjoyable filler, F&TWS, Hawkeye, Black Widow ect.

Truthfully, Marvel fans are spoiled rotten...not to say this phase has been perfect and can't be criticized, it's about as sure footed as phase 1 was cosidereing it's an expansion away from the sacred timeline and lacking definitive stars of the franchise.

But I am anything but bored with the amount of content they're putting out. And I imagine as they find their footing with the TV shows and how best to roll them out along side the films we'll see a leap in quality like we did from phase 1 to 2.

I'm glad they've held off on Avengers stuff so far but I agree H4H should be a go. Thunderbolts/dark Avengers adapation on the way.

Oh and they got a plan, but called audibles because of Covid, shyt that should have been rolling by now got pushed back several years. shyt from what I read Secret Wars was supposed to be filming right now and dropping within a year or two.

But yea, I think that's the point of breaking up the time-line. Racing to another Thanos shaped finish line wasn't an option, splintering off into more self contained stories is the best way to move forward, even if it registers as a huge pattern interupt for a bit.

To do that they would need to reboot. If you want mutants and F4 in the current MCU and it make some type of sense you have to set it up properly.

Whenever I met someone and their favorite movie is a marvel movie LOW IQ. They not that good for y’all to be losing your mind every 3 months.

Basically it has turned into real comics.

Ultimate Marvel started the same as the MCU with base level storytelling and introduced new variations on old ideas. At some point enough continuity got built up that the newer stuff became under the constrain of all the previous buildup.
