I seriously doubt that. Russia and the former U.S.S.R. in general has so many people that they were basically using them as cannon fodder in WW2, which is why Hitler couldn't really do anything to them with a superior army at the time. They were just putting out wave after wave of people who were ready to die for their country.

Don't know if it's still this way today but there is a strong immigration in Russia because they lack people to do basic jobs. And this creates huge racism against non-slavic people.
I remember that in late '12, Putin was encouraging women to have more children because the average was too low for Russia's economy to be sustainable...
