If you have to move papers around or interact with others someone's gonna rat you out

If you're just hiding notes somewhere that's not gonna help much anyway for any real class
:yeshrug:Whatever helps you sleep at night. I would try explaining to you, but there isn't really point.

Tell me how you hide notes in your phone and ask to go to the washroom, then score about 4% higher on your econ midterms breh

As a ME grad I'll say it's good if your cool with not living in an important city. Manufacturing is pretty much done in places worth note. After graduating I wasn't trying to relocate so there was a lot of competition for 40-50k jobs.

:snoop: If you ask most people in engineering if they have a life outside of school, they will probably say no.

Like I sort of hinted at in a previous post however, International students are known to cheat like fukk in STEM fields sadly. Particularly those from China because in their culture cheating isn't necessarily thought as bad. Any means necessary is fair game. I've heard plenty of stories about these kids having "tutors" in their home country who they simply send their work over to for a fee and they send it back completed. The reason why they do this in the first place is because they often go back to their country after school and all you have to say is you have a degree from the west and you're instant hot shyt unless they're stupid enough to get a job here in the states where their lack of knowledge becomes immediately apparent on the job.

However, outside of that, its well known that if you're studying engineering you probably have a kiss a good part of your social life good bye BECAUSE you will be studying your fukking ass off. I'd be damn if someone told me I "never studied" when going through all those Calcs, physics, and shyt. I pretty much study non-stop from semester start to semester end with occasional breaks here and there. My mom who is a doctor told me I studied more than she did during medical school.

The issue is that you dudes put yourselves down too much and think that this shyt requires some Einstein level smarts. I always tell people that getting through engineering doesn't depend on how smart you are unless you're just a plain retard. It tests endurance more than anything. I bet you if most people in this thread knew the right way to study calc 2 or differential equations and PUT IN THE TIME to do so, you'd have no problem.

Most people quit engineering because they can't keep up with the workload more so than understanding the material. To be honest, to some degree the workload to payoff ratio is not as great compared to becoming a doctor or getting a business degree and working on wall street.

The material isn't that hard if you apply yourself. You just have to realize your study level though. Just because autistic savant jimmy can compute 200 factorial off the top of his head, doesn't mean that the material isn't understandable for more "normal" folks and you might not get the material as fast as autistic jimmy but at the end of the day you're both coming out with the same degree.
Idk breh. I cheated like crazy cuz everyone else was too. I have threads on it.

And i was a degenerate (also look up ) and still got by. I was in atlantic city/manhattan everyday partyin on drugs. I never studied shyt and im one of the only guys at my job that can handle the work load.

On a scale of 1 to 10, what is your stress level from work? Also what are your hours like?

As long as the building you make don't collapse on my head or the electrical system shock me when I'm shaving then aiight

My first job in nyc electrical union was 7-330 half hr lunch.
Second job wasnt steict at all. 830-5
Third is strictest. 8-5, 6 if i need to get shyt done

U work with deadlines, in my job im at now if u aint finished n its due that day and ya boss cant negotiate another day be prepared to work that week its due at home or late nights but that happens like once a month.

When i was sniffin diesel i was a fukking wreck at work i wont lie. Thats more cuz everything took mad time. Money was issue even tho i make great money compared to people i grew up with.

Im good past 8 months tho. I come in at 8. Leave at 5. Do my job and dont think bout it when im home.

My first two jobs had a really laxed atnosphere. We used to drink beers at lunch n shyt.

My new boss a penny pincher to make himself a millionaire. I think i already made him half a mill by myself.

Therrs a future in it. But unless u couldnt already tell, im not a geek geek like most engineers are. These dudes ideas of a hard night out is like a cpl beers outside work. Me and my boy dominque make fun of everyone in the office all the time.

Workin at a desk sucks. I like soing field surveys n getting out the office used to do that more often.

Pick your company wisely is what im saying.
Would i trade the 15k increase i got for the decrease in workload... Prolly not. Cuz now i got the experience to make 100k plus.

Get ya eit right away. Its really NOT needed but companys want guys with their pe to sign documents.

Once u get ya pe u making 150k. I know a guy 2 years older who makes 140k a year. Dude takes trips to fukk bytches in diff cities. Livin the life.

Put in ya time. Get ya eit n then pe. Youll be fine young man.

Its better than working with ya back cuz u wont break down but if ya like me u might get super stressed out at first but it gets easier.

I could design the buggest factories by myself right now. One day i wan run my company work from home and chill.

Maybe when im 40.

Youll be aite bro. Mechanical guys are way less stressed than electrical guys. All my mechanical bosses were chill as fukk.

If u take the time to know plumbing and mech, youll be an assett. Ask anything. This is what i do.
