A couple reasons, but for one, there are very few if any rappers who matchup with the teenage urban male demo better than Meek. I think Meek is in his late 20's, but he comes across at least 5-6 years younger.
It's not much different than when Juelz popped, he had the cool teenager thing going, but his music wasn't super mainstream.
