If you believe Kendrick is not a street cat you crazy, Kendrick going the Dj Quik route with his craft, remember the 87-93, LA/Compton was gang central music wise, Ice- T, Nwa, CMW, The Pound etc, all the crips was active in a major way with gangsta rap,Dj Quik had fun talk about fornicating with harlots, partying, kicking it with his potna's and told a couple street stories but never killed 60000 people before the album was done.


Quik was lowkey with his Piru affiliation, if you never been to California or paid attention to the gang life, you'd think loked out hood was just a shout to his neighborhood, but if you listen he letting it be known what set he was from in a slick way and how he spelled his name, you would think he was a fan of Nestle Quik., You would never know 2nd ii None or Hi-c or Playa Hamm were piru'in and bloodin, and know Dee and K.K would beat your ass on sight if you came at them sideways, see what happen when Tim Dog said "fukk Compton" and at jack the rapper who checked ended up checkin Tim, Dee.


Kendrick is just like Quik,cept more lyrical and he doesnt produce, both Quik and Kendrick are affiliated, both Quik and Kendrick before the fame, got music, freestyles and other stuff with street cats, quik's stuff is a little bit hard to find, but Kendrick got videos of him and Jay Rock in ciphers, parlaying with other Piru's, Bloods and Bounty hunters.



If Kendrick didn't have a street blood in him, he wouldnt be caught dead in none the areas like the above video, hell when Kay Slay came to compton/ Watts awhile back Kendrick is running around with his camera, why would a backpacker be running around with bounty hunters, piru's and bloods? Also knowing how L.a/compton is about being from the wrong neighborhood, how Kendrick just happen to get a pass?

I learned many galaxies ago, the louder you are about the streets, the lamer you were,. GKMC is the best street album dropped in years, you would swear you was listen menace in music form.
