Horrible, horrible logic
First off Vanilla Ice, Hammer, Marky Mark and Will Smith was considered pop. So if that's the tag we're putting on Drake, so be it.
Also half the shyt you're saying is just wild conjecture. Daz ghost produced for Dre?
I'm on record criticizing Dre for using "help" too much but you can't make a claim like another guy was ghost producing for him.
Hell, I'll even give you that point. The problem with your logic is nobody knew that Daz was "ghost producing". Or that Rakim, not Nas, wrote "Summertime".
So essentially you're condemning people for not doing something about things
they had no idea about.
Unlike now. We know
everything about Drake and people are still giving him passes.
Lastly Dre and Eazy wasn't running around claiming to be the best rappers out....the head of their generation....a GOAT contender on the mic....and all this other bullshyt Drake and his fanbase have pushed. If Drake came out, day 1, and openly had ghost writers (like Puff) there is no problem. His fans are upset we're holding him to a standard he set for himself, that he didn't even have to.
Fred.
