This is gonna sound bad but, Supporting refugees doesnt have shyt to do with Domestic problems. Its all to put on a show for the rest of the world and sends the message that if US Foreign Policy/War fukks up your country, the US will take care off you. This is a tactic going back to the Cold War where it was imperative for the state to have as many moral victories against the Soviet Union as possible for the sake of propaganda.

Not justifying it mind you, just telling you why you wont be able guilt the State into doing anything different.

Why would the US embassy burn these documents? And have the Middle Eastern refugees enacted sharia law?

Ok so it is a fact that many of the refugees are former Afghani locals who supported NATO forces. Some of which do include linguist who helped provide a lot of information for NATO forces. Yes I have had Afghani interpreters and intelligence analyst specifically cat 2 linguist work in support of us….And yes it is only right to allow them the ability to become United States citizens it has happened in every war since 1900 at least.

I’m not sure who is bothered by that or why but most of the ones that came over here were what would be akin to sellouts specifically high level sellouts to the Taliban and even many regular Afghani people…And yes they will continue to be vetted.

Either way they are here. And not really much you can say or do about it. I have no issue with it.
