Anyone who knew anything about the history of the royal family was not surprised by this in the least

Anybody that knows anything about the history of white people wasn't surprised. I have nothing against those that do IR, but Black folks need to realize you're not just dating or marrying someone non-Black. You're dating and marrying into their family, their culture, their friends, their community, etc..

I'm not convinced she was surprised by any of this though. She's biracial, was married to a white dude before this one, and she's American. She's not that naïve, just jockeying for media leverage with the family.

When has it ever not mattered?

Just because some tragic mulattoes don’t consider themselves black doesn’t make it true

ODR is a ados thing, it pertains to us and our history

other people went by other systems like Jamaicans and that 3 tier system they got.

So to some it never mattered.

Once again blackness and this whole racial system is very social and can differ pending where you are.
